ARB brings you intelligent, subversive, non–dogmatic writing with an anti-authoritarian perspective.
We know that readers are hungry for new ideas, radical and rigorous approaches, open discourse, and courageous, beautiful literature and art.
ARB is an independent publication produced by a collective of working writers, artists, and radicals based in Atlanta, Baltimore, Brussels, Chicago, Exarchia, New York, Oakland, Richmond, and Seattle.
Founded in 2019 with support from Fifth Estate, the longest running Anarchist magazine in North America, ARB is part of a long lineage of radical publishing with roots in the Situationist Movement, the Underground Press Syndicate, and the Liberation News Service. The core of our vision comes from the Situationist slogan ALL POWER TO THE IMAGINATION, which we understand both in terms of the transformative power of art and aesthetic practice as well as the power of direct action.
The Anarchist Review of Books publishes reviews, essays, interviews, poetry, fiction and dispatches from peoples’ movements across the globe.
ARB is a print only publication. Our website has no tracking ads, no click bait, no data collection, no invasion of privacy. We are part of the creative commons and produce our magazine with union labor.
Legacy media is a corpse. Subscribe to ARB and dance on its grave.
